A club regatta will be held each month on the 1^st Saturday of the month. The final results of the regatta will award 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th place. For this regatta your score will be the place that you finish in each heat and the lowest score will place 1^st, 2^nd will be the 2^nd lowest score and so forth. 1 score can be thrown out for every 10 heats sailed. This is the only time that the lowest score wins.

A Quarterly Award will be given to members that finish 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in the cumulative scoring for the 3 months that make up the quarter. The scoring for this award will be as follows.

RD and volunteers who would have sailed in a monthly regatta had they not been working are awarded five points for attending and one point for each skipper who competes in the regatta.
In the event that the RD also competes in the regatta, points are awarded base on the position they finished in.

The SPMYC "Overall Champion" will be determined as follows:

The cumulative scoring for all quarters will be totaled and the member with the highest score will be awarded 1^st place and be the "SPMYC Overall Champion". Awards will be given for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th place.

A Championship Regatta will be held in December to determine the "Year End Club Champion". The final results of the regatta will award 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th place. For this regatta your score will be the place that you finish in each heat and the lowest score will place 1^st, 2^nd will be the 2^nd lowest score and so forth. 1 score can be thrown out for every 10 heats sailed.
